Here is a pix of the blanket I made for my 3 y/o daughter. It was a gift but when she saw it she fell in love with it and wanted it so how could I say no.

Thank you very much! It was the 2nd thing I ever knit.
I used a basketweave pattern of 8 knits and 8 purls then switch to 8 purls and 8 knits. I put a garter stitch border which was 6 rows at the beginning and end of the blanket and 3 knits at the beginning and end of each row. I used the Lion Brand Pound of Love in baby blue double stranded on size 13 needles.
