I'm so excited!! I finished my first sock! It was made using the "Winter Sock" pattern in the Magic Loop book. The yarn is LB Wool-Ease on size 5 needles. It will just be a housesock or if I ever needed a boot sock it would work for that too. However, not being wool chances are if I was going to need a pair of boots I'd need the warmth of wool to go with them, lol.

I'm Finally learning socks! I taught myself to knit 1 yr and 8 months ago and finally feel confident enough to make socks. I'm using the Magic Loop method and Lion Brand Wool-Ease for my first pair. Going to be way to thick to wear but will make great house socks and I wanted to see what was happening during construction before going down to tiny needles and yarn. It looks like a sock in progress doesnt it???

These are Hot Pads I made for my Mother for Christmas. I used Lion Brand and Sugar and Cream Cotton for the knitted portion with coordinating 100% cotton fabric and "Insul-Brite" batting in between. This pattern came from Mag Knits. Sorry, I havent' learned how to do live links yet. The red and the brown are knit with a honeycomb pattern and the green is knit in a basketweave pattern.

This was a hat for my youngest I knit in a full day to keep her toasty during one of our rare cold snaps. It's Caron Simply Soft WW that I doubled. I made the pattern up myself, just a basic ribbing/stockinette hat.

Another Pair of Fingerless Gloves! Same pattern as before, Irish Hiking Mitts. These are made out of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. They are soooo soft. These were a gift for my Grandmother.

Hat and Bootie set made for my daughter's teacher's assistant. This is her 5th boy!! I used Bernet Cotton Tots and it's so soft and perfect for December in Florida!
